Nothing is sweeter than the sight of a fawn tucked away in the long grass or underbrush, safe from harm. A doe will often leave her baby, as they’re born with little to no scent and are safer on their own, however mama usually returns at the end of the day to feed and care for her little one. I imagined this fawn has been quietly snoozing all day and is eager to see his mum.
